Merry Lea hosts Junior &amp; Teen IMN program series in collaboration with Gene Stratton-Porter State Historic Site. Please note this summer camp will be at BOTH locations (Albion, IN &amp; Rome City, IN) throughout the week!  \n  \n  \n  \n This weeklong summer day camp includes topics and activities such as dipping for macroinvertebrates, removing for invasive species, wildflower investigation and more! Please note: students are to bring sack lunch, reusable water bottles and weather weather appropriate clothing each day. \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n AGES AND TIMES \n  \n  \n Junior &amp; Teen IMN Summer Camp: ages 9 &ndash; 16 | 9:30 a.m. &ndash; 4:30 p.m.* \n  \n  \n *Please note the Friday session will conclude at 1 pm following graduation. \n  \n  \n Junior &amp; Teen IMN age limits are determined by the student&rsquo;s age as of July 20, 2026. \n  \n  \n  \n REGISTRATION \n  \n  \n Cost: $125 per student \n  \n  \n Includes books, snacks, administrative fees and program supplies. Fee is due in full upon registration to secure spot, and is non-refundable.  \n  \n  \n *Students bring a sack lunch &amp; reusable water bottles. \n  \n  \n  \n STUDENT EXPECTATIONS TO RECEIVE CERTIFICATION  \n  \n  \n  \n 	Participate in at least 4 out of 5 program days \n 	Complete volunteer service with a local or state natural resources organization (Junior IMN: 6 hours, Teen IMN: 12 hours)  \n 	 \n 		6 hours will be built into the camp week \n 	 \n 	 \n 	Complete a pre- and post- survey during the first and last course sessions \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n  \n EXPECTATIONS FOR PARTICIPATION AND CONDUCT  \n  \n  \n  \n 	We expect all students to demonstrate respect for fellow students and teachers at Merry Lea &amp; Gene Stratton-Porter. \n 	Outdoor education involves exposure to some natural hazards like trips and falls, insect bites and stings and irritating plants.  Our educators try to minimize these risks. It is imperative that students listen to directions in order to maintain safety out on the trails and inside the facilities.​ \n  \n  \n
