DESCRIPTION:Slither, crawl, and explore with us as we search for reptiles at Merry Lea!  From sunbathing turtles to secretive snakes, you'll discover the amazing adaptations that help these creatures survive. Bring your curiosity and get ready for a hands-on outdoor adventure.   \n  \n  \n  \n Notes: \n  \n  \n  \n • This program is designed for students aged 6 - 10 years old. \n  \n • If you wish to sign up for additional dates in the Homeschool series (7 total dates offered in 2026-2027), please complete registration for one event and then choose 'Keep Shopping' to select additional dates. \n  \n • *Please note there are AM & PM sessions offered on each date. \n  \n • Students ages 10 – 17 may join our Junior and Teen Indiana Master Naturalist program. \n  \n • Both our Homeschool and Jr/Teen IMN programs are for students only and are designed as drop-off programs. We do have public events that are available for the entire family to enjoy if desired. \n  \n  \n  \n Expectations for participation & conduct: \n  \n  \n • We expect all students to demonstrate respect for fellow students and teachers at Merry Lea. \n  \n • Outdoor education involves exposure to some natural hazards like trips and falls, insect bites and stings and irritating plants. Merry Lea educators try to minimize these risks. It is imperative that students listen to directions in order to maintain safety out on the trails and inside the facilities. \n  \n  \n  \n *Registration is REQUIRED for this event.
