Hear a tale and hike a trail with your preschooler to discover the natural wonders around you together! Children and their caregiver(s) gather for a short story that incites curiosity before exploring different places around Merry Lea. This is a 1.5 hour monthly program designed for children ages 3-5, with younger siblings welcome to join, led by a Merry Lea educator.
Please dress to be outside for each program.

This month at Tales & Trails we will be reading I Love Insects by Lizzy Rockwell. We will think about what people like about insects, why some might not like insects and what makes an insect an insect. We’ll take a closer look at insects we find and think about why we find them where we do. Please wear closed toed shoes and long pants as we might be exploring off trails. A hat, sunscreen, repellent and water bottle will also be helpful.
