Upcoming high school juniors and seniors can make Merry Lea their home for a week this summer during Conservation Leadership School!

Camp overnight and explore a world full of natural resources and conservation. Hike across historic wetlands, help run a community nature event, get a taste of careers in the natural resources field, and canoe at Chain O' Lakes State Park.  Enjoy an educational and rejuvenating week at our beautiful 1,189 acre nature sanctuary with peers and professionals inspired by the natural world. 

Who: High school juniors & seniors in the 2026-27 academic year
When: June 1 - 5  |  Applications due by May 8
Where: Merry Lea Farmstead  |  2152 S 425 W, Albion, IN 46701
Cost: $85/student. Final payment for accepted applications will be due within 2 weeks of acceptance letter.  Please do not submit payment at this time.

Cancellation Policy

Reservations for Merry Lea's programs can fill quickly, and quality experiences require the help of staff and advance preparation. A last minute cancellation is disruptive and may prevent a wait-listed participant from coming.

If you cancel a program that involves Merry Lea educators, you will be refunded:

  • A full refund if participant cancels one week prior to a program
  • A 50% refund if participant cancels from six days to 24 hours before a program
  • No refund if participant cancels less than 24 hours prior to a program

If Merry Lea cancels a program (due to dangerous weather, low enrollment or unforeseen emergencies) a full refund will be issued.
*Please note: refunds are issued through the Goshen College accounting office, and may take up to 3 weeks to process.
